Iona Frost, Founder / Project Director

Iona was trained as an Interior Designer and began her professional career as a Facilities Manager with Trammel Crow Company on TransCanada Pipelines and IBM accounts, and later as a Project Manager with CYGNUS Sign Management. Her creative energy and desire to support the arts shifted her focus early in her career, and she went on to accumulate over a decade of experience coordinating, developing and managing programs for professional arts companies, festivals and arts service organizations including Decidedly Jazz Danceworks,  the Toronto International Film Festival and the Artists’ Health Centre Foundation.

Her outlook on work has always been “enjoy what you do and how you do it”. Out of her own search for meaning and balance she created springforward, a multidisciplinary, hands-on approach to helping others feel more satisfied with their careers. With a unique combination of skills ranging from administration and design, to her ongoing studies with the Career and Work Counsellor Program at George Brown College, Iona enjoys collaborating with clients who share a passion for their work and a desire to grow and engage with the world around them.

A dancer for as long as she can remember, Iona spends much of her free time Salsa dancing – both socially and as an instructor. She is very active in the community and volunteers every week at Times Change Women’s Employment Service where she has co-facilitated the Getting Started Workshop, provided animated tours of the resource library, and currently reviews client cover letters and résumés.
