Artists’ Health Centre Foundation

How did AHCF springforward?

The Artists’ Health Centre Foundation (AHCF) supports the work of the Al and Malka Green Artists’ Health Centre at Toronto Western Hospital, and is involved in outreach, education, and prevention services for emerging and professional artists in Toronto.

The co-facilitators of the unique and successful AHCF workshop The Artists’ Perception of Self-Worth participated in the 2011 International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) conference and required the design skills of springforward to tell the complex story of the artists’ role in society.

springforward did this…

  • designed education & outreach brochure
  • designed logo for Artists’ Health Centre
  • collaborated with workshop presenters and provided unique insight to convey accurate messaging

…for the AHCF

  • increased profile of Artists’ Health Centre
  • achieved goals for multi-year Trillium grant*
  • created unique resource for professional artists

“Working with springforward to conceptualize, plan and design a poster for a presentation at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science conference was a wonderful experience. Iona was quick to take on the project and lend her expertise in creating the poster. The finished project was a product of collaborative creativity, and captured the essence of the message we wanted the conference attendees to perceive. Thanks Iona!”
